Job Description

£40,000-£42,000 + Shift premium

Magna Road, South Wigston, Leicester

37 hours per week on a rotating 3 shift pattern (AM, PM, Nights)

  • Earlies: 05:45-13:45 Monday to Thursday 05:45-10 Friday
  • Afternoons: 13:45- 21:45 Monday to Thursday 10:45-15:45 Friday
  • Nights: 21:45-05:45 Monday to Thursday 15:45-20:45 Friday

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment
  • Responding to breakdowns with urgency, professionalism, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Spotting opportunities to prevent issues before they happen and taking action
  • Playing an active role in improving how we maintain equipment and facilities
  • Getting involved in projects that make the site safer, more efficient, and more reliable
  • Working independently when needed, but always contributing positively to the wider team
  • Supporting others, sharing knowledge, and helping raise standards across the board
  • Working alongside contractors with professionalism and accountability

Experience & Skills

We recognise that skills can be developed — what matters most is mindset. That said, experience in the following areas will help you hit the ground running:

  • Apprentice trained (Mandatory)
  • On site mechanical experience
  • Electrical fault finding skills
  • Fault finding and problem solving
  • Exposure to pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Machine tool skills desirable

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary: £40,000 – £42,000 (depending on experience)
  • Shift premium: £7,980 – £8,820
