We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Production Maintenance team, with a comprehensive range of mechanical and electrical skills.
You will have the ability to fault find and rectify a wide variety of issues on a diverse range of equipment such as automated plant, robots, building management and electrical/electronic systems and be able to utilise your experience functioning as a lead resource, also helping to develop maintenance engineers and apprentices to improve the provision of planned preventative, routine and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment supporting the business needs.
About the Role
- Resolve reactive, planned, preventative and emergency maintenance requests submitted via our computerised
maintenance management system (CMMS) to minimise equipment downtime as required. Suggest and implement
equipment/ process improvement to increase asset reliability and minimise downtime. - Lead installation work to the required standard, supporting site and process modifications including supplies and
services to work equipment. Carry out mechanical/electrical installation in accordance with relevant regulations. - Ensure knowledge sharing by capturing and training out key learning points to colleagues or others. Where appropriate
document or instigate preventative planned work from that learning. - Update the CMMS asset history by completion of Works Order information and spares / repair requirements. Health &
Safety activities such as full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work. - Actively contribute to company Continuous Improvement activities including Ricoh Production Way System, Kaizen,
applying 5S standards in all areas and ensure all work is compliant with Health and Safety standards and risk
assessments.
About the Person
You will have a proven ability working as a high performing multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment, with experience of fault finding and repair of PLC’s, electrical, robotic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Injection moulding experience would also be desirable, alongside the ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
You’ll ideally hold a ONC in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), with City & Guilds 2800 Level 3 or equivalent (Maintenance Engineering), and City & Guilds 2382 – IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
