Engineering Technician

4 on 4 off (Days & Nights – 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)

With significant investment transforming our site into one of the most advanced dairy facilities in the UK, we’re now expanding our engineering team and looking for Engineering Technicians to play a key role in supporting a highly automated, next-generation production environment.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of modern manufacturing—combining cutting-edge technology, large-scale automation and ongoing site transformation.
What you’ll be doing
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
Responding to breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime in a fast-paced production environment
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering upgrades
Collaborating with operations to drive safety, quality and performance
Supporting the installation, commissioning and integration of new equipment
What you’ll be working with
Highly automated process and filling lines with advanced PLC systems
High-speed blow moulding and hygienic filling technology
Multi-axis robotic packaging systems
One of the UK’s largest pallet cooling and transport systems
Site-wide infrastructure including:
Combined Heat & Power (CHP)
Advanced compressed air systems
Sustainability and recycling technologies
What we’re looking for
A time-served Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance
Experience working with automation, robotics or process equipment (desirable)
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
A team player committed to high safety and performance standards
What you’ll get in return
£57,289 salary plus 1.5x overtime
£5,000 sign-on bonus (paid after successful completion of probation)
