About the role 

Reporting into the Engineering supervisor the multi-skilled engineer will assist in and be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment and plant. As a MS Engineer you will be able to identify and rectify faults both Mechanically and Electrically along with ensuring planned maintenance work is completed within specified timescales. A proactive approach is required, and you will be expected to take ownership of issues found and drive to completion without supervision.
Shift Pattern 

You will work a rotating shift pattern across Early, Day, Back and Night shifts, including scheduled days off and will receive a 8.5% shift allowance due to shift working. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, food safety, legality, and quality standards at all times, maintaining an audit-ready environment in line with BRC requirements. 
• Carry out maintenance, repair, and servicing of factory equipment, plant, and site services across the Glenbervie complex. 
• Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new and existing equipment and systems. 
• Maintain accurate engineering records, including PPM and breakdown activity using the CMMS (IFS) system. 
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained. 
• Contribute to engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required. 
• Participate in a shift rotation pattern as required. 
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by Engineering Management. 

Experience & Qualifications:

Formal engineering qualification, preferable apprentice trained/time served in your chosen discipline. (Mechanical/Electrical)

Skills:

• Strong Communication skills both written and verbal.

• Good knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Desirable skills or experience:

• Working Knowledge of Steam/Pressure systems advantageous but not essential.
• Any maintenance of food equipment experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
